Hey there! I'm Ash. I am a Portland based and raised stylist with 16+ years in the industry, and I’m currently located at Hug Salon in NE. Hug is a beautiful space in a great location with plenty of shopping and dining close by. Music plays a huge role in my life, inspiration, and style. I love unique self-expression and the ability to reinvent oneself. I love witnessing the continuing evolution of fashion (fashion freak), and I think your hair is your #1 accessory. I truly believe in the power of hair and the power of making a genuine connection with my clients. You can expect a collaborative conversation in creating the hair of your dreams. You can expect to feel like I have listened to what you want, and we have worked together to come up with a style you feel confident in. I also strongly believe in teaching clients to work with their natural texture as well as educating clients about products (product connoisseur). I love doing both cutting and coloring and have extensive advanced training and experience in both, as well as other salon services. My knowledge of color and bleaching is immense (big chemistry nerd), yet I am always learning and challenging myself. My passion for education and cutting has led me on a long winding adventure in my career. After a few years behind the chair, I traveled and studied advanced technical cutting (as well as color mastery) at Vidal Sassoon in Los Angeles. I then later found myself inspired by creative and razor cutting and have attended endless razor cutting workshops along the West Coast. I truly believe in both scissor and straight razor cutting. Although they are distinctly different schools of cutting, I feel that being well versed in both adds strength to my cutting process. Cancellation Policy
It’s important to understand that when forgetting or cancelling appointments without giving enough notice, businesses lose the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and other clients waiting for appointments miss out on receiving services. For the benefit and respect of all our clients and professionals, booking this appointment is subject to the following terms:
-You may cancel or modify your appointment without charge anytime 48 hours preceding the start time of your appointment.
-Less than 48 hours notice is considered a “Late Cancellation” and will result in a charge up to 100% of the scheduled service(s).
-If you do not cancel your appointment or do not show up for your scheduled appointment, you will be considered a “No Show” and charged full price of the scheduled service(s).
-Appointments that are booked within the 48 hour period are still subject to the cancellation policy.
-As a courtesy, appointment confirmation messages are sent 72 hours in advance of appointments by both SMS and email to the contact information given at time of booking. Failing to respond to those confirmation messages could result in your appointment slot being given to another client.
-Late arrivals will be charged the full price of the scheduled service(s) even if there is not enough time to complete them.
